We hope to see you for a supportive trauma-informed yoga class designed to empower students to release trapped psychological and physical energies and come back home to their bodies. This gentle and nourishing trauma-informed yoga class will support students with feeling more grounded and balanced. Students will be invited to channel awareness and presence, find stability and safety in the body, and cultivate resilience.
The postures and breath work are thoughtfully crafted to help uncover trauma imprints, support the healing process, soothe the nervous system, and lessen the grip that experiences of trauma may have on the heart. The class has been crafted with so much care to cultivate deep rest and support folks with tending to the collective exhaustion that is present for so many. Participants will be provided with a supportive and affirming space and be reminded that their choices are always celebrated and their sensitivity and softness are their most powerful forms of strength.
Classes are always taught from a trauma-informed framework, including:
Empowerment-based language
Supportive presence and the embodied practice of holding space
Consent frameworks for assists
Creating safety in the physical yoga space
Trauma-sensitive breathwork and meditation
Support for triggers that may arise
Cultural considerations and accessibility
Nervous system care practices
